001 - Team One

Soon after arriving on the jet, Daphne had announced the teams. She had also mentioned that Team Leaders would be announced just before the first challenge-probably thinking it would put the teams at a disadvantage when in actuality it just prepared them for anyone to be the leader.

This left Manda alone with her team in Economy Class. Anne was ill, and was hardly speaking to them at this point, and the other members of the team were... ugh.

There was Jack, who looked far too sane for this show.
Dante, who was pretty and pretty much useless (so far).
Knox, who seemed like a slightly smarter version of Lychee.
And Selena, who had already asserted her dominance as 'The Goth Who Eats Everything'.

Manda grimaced and glanced back over to Anne. For the sake of their team, she really hoped these clowns were better than first impressions suggest.

Forcing a smile and turning back to her team, she tried to start a conversation. "So! We're teammates... Why don't you guys talk for a bit? I'm gonna see if I can find something for Anne." With that she stood and went to search the plane

Knox awkwardly looks around at his new teammates, he can see two fine looking girls named Anne and Manda. Anne didn't look so well but Manda looked like a blue headed goddess, kind of like his ex-girlfriend Violet. He found he could be attracted to both of these girls right away. Then he saw a lighter blue haired girl named Selena, she looked very bitter and Knox was quite scared of her. Dante and Jack looked like the guys that will challenge his male dominance in the team. But they looked alright, maybe he and Dante could be bros.

Anyways, he looked to Selena, "Fancy hairdue. I like it. Why the color?"

Selena was sitting sitting down with her arms crossed over her chest. She wasn't exactly paying any attention to the others because frankly, she couldn't care less about them. Before she came she was told that she had to at least try and be friendly with the other contestants but she just didn't see the point. Why bother making friends and getting close to people who are just trying to use you to get the prize money? When she walked in she managed to get a quick glimpse of her teammates. The two girls just looked like stuck-up rich kids and as for the guys, they all looked dumber than a sack of potatoes.

As one of the boys approached her and asked about her hair she kept staring forward, not bothering to look at him and make any eye contact. "Don't talk to me." Her tone was rather cold.

Not long after, Manda returned empty-handed and obviously displeased. Ugh, this place was awful! They didn't even have medication for nausea. When she returned to her seat by Anne, however, she noticed that the girl was asleep. So, thankfully, she wouldn't have to break the news to her just yet.

With that settled, she looked to her teammates and raised a brow. "... I take it conversation didn't exactly go well while I was gone?"

Knox fearfully elbows Manda to get her attention and whispers into her ear, "She scares me..."

Knox doesn't like Selena very good but he sees Manda as more of a comforting person to him.

Thankfully, Manda's not really so off-putting, and continues their whispered conversation (although anyone could hear what she was saying, so it wasn't so much a whisper as an observation). "She scares me, too. I mean good god-those shoes? What does she keep in there? Small elephants?"

Knox giggles at the idea of there actually being elephants in the shoes although he really hopes there isn't because she'd step on them and crush them with her cold soul.

"Maybe that's why she looks so cranky and murderous all the time?" Knox whispered to Manda.

"Nah, she's probably just miserable. Look how she's dressed! All those layers," she scoffed.

Knox laughs, "And I can barely handle this layer I have now. Who knows how she's feeling."

"Sounds like one of my ex girlfriends. Yikes not going through that again." Knox is disgusted by the thought, he's not talking of the one that reminds him of Manda... she is another story for another day. Knox has had lots of girlfriends in his day. He's always been pretty popular at his school.

"Wow you must be super good if Santa brings you a gift every 30 days! I want that gift." Knox frowns wondering why Santa doesn't have him that high on the nice list.

She snorted, "Oh, god, trust me kid, you do not want this gift. I don't even want it."

"... O-kay then," She scooted away from him a bit. God, was he really that dim? Nevertheless, she forced her usual flirty smirk and put her head in her hands. "So, tell me more about yourself~ We're teammates-we might as well get to know each other"

"Well last summer I graduated from highschool, I didn't know what to really do from then so I got involved with like military stuff. I was sent to military boot camp to get me ready. And on the first day I was there they gave me a gun, and BOOM. Shot myself in the leg. I mean I just thought it was a toy gun. Not the real deal. They took me to the hospital and took the bullet out. But they said because of the injury they couldn't put me back." Knox sighed and stared at the floor thinking about the incident.

Jack was leaning against the side of the jet, toothpick stuck in between his teeth. Up until this point he'd been observing the conversation. He had no desire to talk about feminine hygiene junk... He got enough of that when he was at home between his mother and two sisters. However, hearing that Knox had shot himself in the leg, Jack felt he had to intervene. "Wait, wait, hold up... You seriously shot yerself in the leg?" he raised a brow, a smirk playing on his lips.

Dante had nodded off being bored sitting in economy class. The thing is, he had to get to know his teammates better before he could really get under their skin and annoy them. For now he decided to play it cool and just sit by himself. He looked around at the people who he would pretty much be trapped with for a long time. No one seemed to really stand out, two girls with blue hair, that was new. The guys seemed pretty content. He sighed and figured he'd wait for someone to try and talk to him first. While he was waiting he started to quietly sing the first song that had come to mind. Of course it had to be 'We are never ever getting back together' He started to sing in a pretty good voice, the chorus,"You go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me.~" He grinned and tapped his foot, trying to remember the beat to the song. This was a good way to keep him busy and maybe get someone to notice him.

"Yeah man right in this here leg." Knox said and held his leg up, his pants falling down to reveal his calf, and show the scar that the bullet had wound up in. "It felt like... well it felt really bad." Knox snorted. "Hey whats his name?" he pointed at Dante singing some girly pop song.

Jack took his toothpick out of his mouth, placing it in his pocket. "Yeah, that story though... Kind of embarrassin'. Next time just make something up, kay bro?" He glanced over Dante and then back to Knox. "Dunno, maybe he'll tell you once he's done with his girly pop song"

Dante cut the chorus short when he noticed that Knox and Jack were looking at him. He cleared his throat and waved at them,"Heh, not a big fan of that song, eh? Well no one really is, but it was the first song that came to mind." He jumped up out of his seat and walked over to the pair. He sat inbetween them without even asking if he could. He ginned and leaned back,"So, what're you two up to anyway?"

Knox grins at his new friend and leans his arm on Dante's shoulder, "Dude we're just flying on a plane! What brings you here?"

He snorted and ran ahand through his hair,"oh you know, just being on the same team and all. On top of that kind of hoping to win a million bucks." Dante liked this guy so far. Compared to everyone else he seemed pretty chill.

"Woah! Your on my team? That's so awesome! We're gonna rule the sky!" Knox looked pointed out the nearest window at a cloud.
